Pioneer DJM-750 Mixer in Stock today (Check the DJM-750 Vs. DJM-850 Video)

Pioneer DJ continues to bring innovation and unprecedented quality to their collection of great DJ products. Replacing the the DJM-700, the DJM-750 offers brand new effects section combining the Sound Color FX & Standard Beat FX into one section, but they didn't stop there.  They added the Boost knob to the mix to give you a total of over 100 different effects combinations on a mixer that comes in at $999.  One of the most commonly asked questions has been, "Which is better, the 750 or the 850?"  Here is our take on it. The DJM-850 has more features to offer over the DJM-750. The DJM-850 offers separate Sound Color FX on each channel, two Microphone inputs, Four Fader Starts & Traktor Pro 2 Support vs 1 FX section, 1 Mic Input and 2 Fader Starts.

At the $999 price point, the DJM-750 is certainly a lot of mixer for the money. For $500 more, the DJM-850 gets you the added features above to take your mixes to the next level...

Here is a side by side comparison of both the DJM-750 and the big brother the DJM-850

DJM-750 Features and Overview

Multitude of Features

  • Boost Color FX – The new Boost Color FX enables users to change the parameter of an effect with the varying rotation speed of the integrated controller knob. The degree of the selected effect is intensified (i.e. increase cut rate) the faster the knob is turned. The Boost Color FX knob can work on any of the integrated mixer effects and the feature includes four different types of effects, Filter, Crush, Noise and Jet.
  • Sound Color FX – The Sound Color FX offers four types of effects (Filter, Crush, Noise, Jet) for more creative mixing options. Users also have the ability to switch between Sound Color FX and Boost Color FX to match the music playing.
  • Beat Effect – The Beat Effect function presents 13 different types of effects (Delay, Echo, Spiral, Reverb, Trans, Filter, Flanger, Phaser, Robot, Vinyl Brake, Slip Roll, Roll, and Reverse Roll) that can be combined with Boost Color FX and Sound Color FX to create more than 100 types of effects for extremely original remixes.
Superior Sound Quality

  • 24bit/96kHz High-Performance USB Sound Card – The DJM-750 4-channel digital DJ mixer is designed with a built-in USB sound card that enables simultaneous input-output of stereo signals for up to four inputs/outputs2 with no deterioration in sound quality.
    • The sound card supports three different sampling rates (96kHz/48kHz/44.1kHz) and ASIO/Core Audio standards, ideal for DJ play and music recording and production.
    • USB port, located on top of the mixer, enables quick connection of devices.
    • The signal output path from the mixer can be easily modified using its setup tool via a computer3.

  • Sound Quality Design – The mixer produces clear and powerful audio using high quality components such as a 32-bit digital signal processor (DSP) and SEND/RETURN circuit parts, as well as a low-jitter crystal oscillator installed in the clock of its audio circuits, to deliver the most precise audio signals and accurate audio reproduction.
Additional Features

  • Professional inputs and output connections including Digital Master Output, XLR, Send/Return ports
  • Information from operation of the device's knobs and buttons is transmitted to external DJ software and effectors, etc. as a MIDI4 signal, with a “Full Ensemble MIDI” function built in to enable simultaneous control of this device and other external devices.
  • Each channel is equipped with a switch-type 3-band equalizer (+6dB to -26dB) and 3-band isolator (+6dB to -∞dB).
  • Channel fader knobs and cross-fader knobs offer a “P-LOCK Fader Cap” applying a lock function to guard against accidental disconnection of knobs.
  • Auto Standby automatically senses active operation and the presence of input signals, switching to standby mode when a long period of input is not detected.

Alfred from American DJ talks battery and wireless DMX lighting fixtures

In a recent email from American DJ as part of their NewsWave series Alfred Gonzales the national sales manager and honestly one of the nicest guys in the industry talks about how to “cut loose” from the traditional wires (both power and DMX) in your lighting set ups.  The team here at agiprodj.com strongly recommend many of the Wifly and Mega Go products for uplighting and decor solutions.  If you would like to receive information directly from the ADJ family on audio and lighting products along with new product announcements and contests you can sign up for the NewsWave here!

Ask Alfred
Which Way For Wireless?

Just about every DJ is curious about wireless lighting today – and why not?  As our advertising for the new WiFLY series proclaims, wireless helps you “cut loose” your creativity by freeing you from the constraints of cables and power restrictions.  As someone who’s been a DJ all his adult life, I can’t tell you how much I wish they had wireless lighting when I was starting out!

So I’m not really surprised that a lot of people have been coming up to me and saying how happy they are that ADJ is offering them reliable wireless lighting. But some of the people who are congratulating us for coming out with the new WiFLY Series are asking if we’re still going to be selling the Go Series.

Our answer is “of course,” and I’ll tell you why. We’ll continue to sell the Go Series and the new WiFLY Series because they serve two very different DJ markets at two different, but budget-friendly, price points.

The big difference between these two wireless systems is that our WiFly Series has DMX, while our Go Series does not. Sometimes the set-and-forget Go Series with pre-programmed lighting effects is all DJs need—especially if they’re inexperienced with, or even intimidated by, DMX control. In this scenario, the affordable Go Series is the perfect solution, since it’s totally capable of creating a professional-looking lightshow all on its own.
In other cases, DJs have built their entire lightshow around DMX control, creating unique programs and having the same set of fixtures do radically different things at different times. For example, a DJ might use the same lights to create a subdued effect at the start of a wedding reception, then switch to a more elegant vibe when the bride and groom have their first dance, then go red-hot dance-club style when the reception shifts into full-blown party gear. This is where our more advanced WiFLY Series would come into play.

OK, so I’ve described the basic differences between our two wireless series, so let me tell you why I like them both.

Our battery-powered Go Series lets DJs “cut the cord,” so they’ll never have to worry about power connections. You can set these incredibly bright, feature-packed, lightweight units anywhere—even in places with no electrical outlets—and take your lighting designs to new levels of creativity, free from the restrictions of power requirements. Their rechargeable lithium batteries will last a good long time and keep your fixtures operating reliably at full force for the duration of your gig.

With the Go Series, you’ll never have to sacrifice performance for the ultimate in mobility. Some of the awesome color-mixing fixtures in ADJ’s Go Series include the Mega Go Bar50 linear LED fixture, par can, Mega Go Flood Bar 19-inch linear LED fixture, Mega GoFlood Par low-profile LED par can, Quad Phase Go moonflower and Jelly Go Par64 LED wash fixture with glowing transparent case. DMX control is an option on these units, but DMX expertise isn’t required to operate them.

For more advanced users, our WiFLY Series takes lighting control to an even higher level by combining all the great benefits of lithium battery power with complete wireless DMX control. At the heart of the system are our WiFLY Transceiver and our WiFLY RGBW 8C Controller. The WiFLY Transceiver is really a transmitter and a receiver in one unit. It supports up to 16 different DMX 512 universes, and it will transmit at incredible distances of up to 500 feet with a clear sight line.

Now you know a whole lot more about which ADJ wireless lighting system is best for you. But you won’t be certain until you check out our Go Series and our WiFLY Series for yourself and see them in action. Free yourself and go wireless with ADJ!

Custom Gobo for your Weddings or Events!

You name in lights, well maybe just your initials.

I am sure you have seen weddings with personalized monograms or logos projected in light during a wedding or party.  Traditionally these have been done by using a very heavy, and hot 575 Watt Halogen bulb in a light like a source four or other similar fixture.  Now you can do it with LED and save money on replacement lamps since the LED has an estimated Lifespan of 50,000 hours.  With less power draw you are also less likely to pop a circuit if somebody plugs in a coffee pot.  (I say this because it has happened to me more than once)

The Chauvet Lighting LFS-75DMX recently arrived in our warehouse and has created quite a buzz with the Wedding DJs on our team.  With a crisp 75watt white LED source, DMX controllable dimmer, and color wheel this will make a nice and easy to use addition to any DJ or production companies light offerings.

The LFS-75DMX will accommodate a custom steel Bobo, or a printed image or photo onto a transparency.  When using a printed Gobo you will likely want to take advantage of using it with DMX control so you can run the cooling fan and prevent warping or discoloration.

DJ Ty from agiprodj did a nice comparison video of the LFS-75DMX and the smaller LFS-5

Here is an example of a Gobo projected with a Intimidator Spot 350 LED which uses the same light source as the LFS-75DMX, and a photo image from an LFS-5.

Get lifted, with air assisted speaker stands

If you are a DJ, musician, Event or Rental Company it is safe to assume you have heard of Ultimate Support and the quality stands and products they offer.

In doing a little research before writing this I found the following text about who Ultimate Support is and their mission.

"Innovation and Strength – Ultimate Support Pillars of Success

For over 30 years, Ultimate Support Systems has provided musicians with unique support solutions that are crafted with unparalleled innovation and quality and accompanied by superior customer service. We are determined to invent, design, and manufacturer the smartest support solutions and music accessories in the music industry."

As an owner of multiple Ultimate stands some that are nearly 25 years old now, I am happy to say my experience as an owner has been perfect.  With only a few warranty issues over the years they have always been quick to repair or offer to replace anything regardless of the nature of the damage.  They set the example of great customer service and product support in my opinion.

When it comes to the innovation part the two things that as a DJ and Event producer that I find to be the biggest assets to me are the stands with leveling legs like the (TS99BL and TS110BL for speakers and for lighting the LT99BL) and the Air Lift Assist stands (TS100B and TS110B).  The air lift makes the raising and lowering of speakers super easy and can certainly help save strain on your back when it comes to lifting 40 lb or heavier speakers.

Check out the video reviews from DJ Ty on the TS110BL, and the TS100B

.

Just this week the BOGO promotion for the TS100B stands has come back and is already got people excited.  These are great stands, and when one is free that is event better!

We are proud be be an Authorized dealer for Ultimate Support products.
